Of the 1,685,188 people who stay in my city...

...the one person who becomes my upstairs neighbor is the person

* who thinks talking loudly on his phone at 1.00a in the night is entertainment.
* who thinks jumping up and down on his bed as he talks so that his bed squeaks is fun.
* who does not think that the above two activities will wake up his poor neighbor (me :-( ) sleeping in the room below in the apartment downstairs.

Aaaaaargh! I really wanted to stand on my bed and and poke a hole in the ceiling just so I could hit this moron on the head with something. Fortunately I moved to the futon in the hall before my baser instincts prevailed. If I fall asleep at work today, I know who to blame! Some people...grr X-(!

Hey,
Complain to the management.
They sure will set things right.

I have had apt security knock at my door, when I had a bunch of friends at home, playing Pictionary, mostly all play (so you know how noisy we were :)) at 11:00PM!!! On a Saturday!!

So you have alll the rights to complain for 1PM noise, on a weekday.

If this continues, that will be the next step! I think I will talk to those people themselves before I complain to management...they sound like Indians so probability of them shooting me or sth like that is a little lesser ;-)!
How are you doing? Got rid of your bad mood?

“I can love the whole world except my neighbor.” seems to be your situation :-).
Most of the times we dont realise what we are doing, so informing them first would be a better idea. Hope it gets solved fast.

I haven't heard the noisy neighbors again so far. Probably because I have been feeling so tired thanks to the noisy night that I have been sleeping right through any noise :-)!

I'm moving next week and just spent last week trying to find a moving company. Fortunately my friends recommended an ajossi that at least four of them have used, and he quoted me at a price way less than what I found online^^ He was also really nice about me not speaking great Korean - haha!

Best of luck. Moving is physically and emotionally tough - but at least unlike a lot of people who think they are going to have a great move, you have the advantage of not starting off with a load of unrealistic expectations! Hope your new place soon starts to feel like home, and you can begin enjoying your life in it.
